Motorcycle and truck racing legend, Steve Parrish and adventure motorcyclist and author, Nick Sanders, will join former World Superbike champion and racing legend, Carl Fogarty, in the Bike4Life Ride Out and Festival on Sunday 30th April 2017.

Now in its seventh year, Bike4Life, organised by Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, has grown to become one of the country’s most popular biker events. Over 6,000 bikers take part in the Ride Out each year which runs 23 miles from Meole Brace in Shrewsbury to RAF Cosford, home to the Bike4Life Festival, which attracts a further 6,000 people.

Steve Parrish and Nick Sanders led the 2016 Ride Out, and are thrilled to have been invited back in 2017.

Steve explains: “The 2016 Ride Out was a fantastic experience, leading over 6,000 bikers on a route closed to other road users, was an experience like no other. Once we arrived at the Festival, we were greeted by a great crowd, it was fantastic to see so many people come out to support the charity.”

Nick adds: “Seeing people waving from the bridges along the route, was a brilliant sight. The atmosphere from the start point in Shrewsbury to RAF Cosford was electric, and I can’t wait to take part again this April.”

Carl Fogarty, who was the star of Bike4Life in 2015, will also join Steve and Nick as part of his continued commitment to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, which sadly airlifts motorcyclists on a regular basis.

Jason Levy from Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, and chair of the Bike4Life organising committee, added: “The support from Steve Parrish and Nick Sanders at last year’s event made it a fantastic day out for bikers, and we’re so pleased that they are taking part again this year.

“With their involvement alongside Carl Fogarty, it promises to be a really special day which will raise vital funds for the charity and help to promote biker safety.”

To take part in the Ride Out simply visit www.bike4lifefest.com. It only costs £10 per motorbike (pillions ride for free) with all proceeds raised going to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. For those who simply want to attend the Bike4Life Festival, entrance is £5 per person and under 16s go free.

Bike4Life is run in collaboration with Safer Roads Partnership and West Mercia Police who work tirelessly to promote road safety and to help reduce the number of road traffic collisions across West Mercia. The event is supported by the Central Motorway Police Group, Highways England, West Mercia Police Shropshire County Council, the RAF Museum Cosford and RAF Cosford.
